In Patients whose cornea (the clear part of the eye) has become cloudy, replacement with tissue from a deceased donor is often the only option to regain functional vision. We offer this procedure at Georgetown University Hospital.
In some cases, only a layer of the cornea needs replacement, in those cases we offer laminar keratoplasty (DSEK), also performed at Georgetown University Hospital.
