I received my undergraduate degree in biology and mathematics from Boston University and my medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical school of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
I have completed residency training at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
In addition, I have completed further fellowship training in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at the Willmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.
Since 2003, I am board certified in Ophthalmology. I am a member of the American Society for Cataract and refractive surgery, the Cornea Society and i am a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Before returning to southern Maryland and DC, I practiced for approximately 5 years in western Minnesota and North Dakota.
