Dr Brooks graduates from the New England College of Optometry in 1976. He is a veteran of the US Navy and has practiced optometry in various naval facilities and civilian practices. For the last 25 years, his practice has been in southern Maryland.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Armed Forces Optometric Association. He is active in Rotary international and on multiple boards and committees.
Dr Brooks provides the full range of optometric services including prescription of glasses, fitting of contacts lenses, evaluation for diabetic eye disease and glaucoma. He works closely with Dr Oboh-Weilke in the managment of patients in need of surgical care.
Insurances accepted include Medicare, Tricare, United, BC/BS (Carefirst) and multiple vision plans.
